David R i c h a rd Hughes passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. David was born on July 3, 1955 in Modesto, CA to George and Dorothy Hughes. He attended Earlsboro High School. David worked as a truck driver for Knis River Trucking in Sartell, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and his dog, Buddy, who was his best friend. David is survived by his step-mom, Carolyn Sue Hughes of Shawnee, siblings, Lynn Verot of Houston, TX, Floyd and Jeannine Hughes of Earlsboro, OK, Donna Hughes of CA, Gwen and John Wolverton of The Village, FL, and Greg Barker of CA, step-siblings, Bobby Neal and Tracey of Shawnee, Brenda and Curtis Belcher of Brookhaven, MS, and Diane and Rick Butler of Sparks, OK, a son, Daniel Hughes and wife Lacey of Arkansas City, KS; three grandchildren: Avery, Kayleigh, and Riley; ex-wife: Peggy Hughes of Sartell, MN, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A memorial ceremony for David will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Chapel with Donald Pate officiating.
