Marty Pettyjohn passed away on June 20, 2023. Marty was born in Shawnee, OK, on October 9, 1944, to Lonnie Vearl and Emeline Smith.
Marty graduated from Norman High School. She attended Oklahoma Christian University. Marty married Robert Pettyjohn on Feb. 7, 1964.
Marty was a faithful member of the Northridge Church of Christ for 48 years where she taught children’s Sunday School. She generously supported and went on mission trips to Ecuador and Mexico.
Marty was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Vearl Dean Smith, and nephew, Scott Smith.
Marty is survived by her husband, Robert Pettyjohn, of the home; son, Todd Pettyjohn of Little Rock, AR; son, Travis Pettyjohn and wife Andrea of Edmond, OK; daughter, Tiffini McLeod of Arnold, MO; granddaughter, Cynthia Seaton and husband Travis of Prague, OK; grandson, Trent Pettyjohn and wife Marianna of Prague, OK; grandson, Trevor Pettyjohn and wife Bethaney of Guthrie, OK; grandson, Miles McLeod of Arnold, MO; granddaughter, Maddie McLeod of Arnold, MO; three great-grandchildren; her twin brother Lonnie Smith and wife Jeanetta of Slaughterville, OK; and sister, Barbara Meredith of Round Rock, TX.
Services were held June 24, 2023 at Northridge Church of Christ in Shawnee, OK.
