Shawnee resident Rob Morris made comments during the Shawnee Civic & Cultural Development Authority (SCCDA) meeting held on Aug. 17, 2023, regarding the lack of preparation by the SCCDA board for the rodeo. Morris also questioned whether Chairman Randy Gilbert would be paid for hauling panels and the use of his equipment to make needed repairs at the Expo prior to the rodeo.
