The City of Shawnee put the wheels in motion to create a temporary designated camp and shelter site for the homeless population in Shawnee.
During the meeting held Aug. 21, City Manager Andrea Weckmueller-Behringer gave a presentation outlining the reasons for the temporary site and the costs to get this project going.
