  • Bob Palmer, foreground, and Shane Cox work on a mural, Oct. 11, on the west side of the building at 421 E. Walnut in Tecumseh. The former laundromat next to Ma Beasley's Daylight Donuts is owned by Joshua and Katie Goodson, and will soon open as Affinity Corporation, a construction and design business. Katie Goodson said she wanted bright colors and Tecumseh and Oklahoma images, and she is happy with the result, which took two days to complete.

Palmer said he started in traditional studio work 50 years ago, and after switching to mural work, he has painted more than 4,000. His murals are mostly in Oklahoma, but are also in Macedonia, Greece, Croatia and other countries around the Adriatic Sea, due to the word getting out from exchange students he has welcomed. His largest mural is along four blocks of E.K. Gaylord Ave. in OKC, and his tallest mural is 150 feet on a grain elevator in Ardmore.
