The weather seems to have been against Woodland Veterans Park.
The April 19 tornado took down several trees, and the Re-Opening Ceremony had to be rescheduled from Oct. 28 for freezing temperatures.
But, on Nov. 11, the weather was finally agreeable, with temperatures around 65 degrees for the park’s reopening at Broadway Avenue and Highland Street in Shawnee.
