Joann Coomer passed away on Dec. 23, 2023. Joann was born Oct. 31, 1938, in Shawnee, OK, to Joel Dixon Jordan and Zuma Pansy Hibbard (Rigdon). She attended Irving Elementary, Shawnee Jr. High, and graduated from Shawnee High School.
Joann worked at Tinker Air Force Base from high school until 1973. On March 2, 1973, she married Hershel Coomer.
She was an avid bowler and played in many leagues.
She is preceded in death by her mother; husband, Hershel Coomer; daughter-in-law, Joetta Coomer; brother, Marvin Jordan; and sister-inlaw, Caroline.
She is survived by her son Ronald Lee Coomer; daughter Lisa Coomer; grandson Cason Coomer; sister Geraldine Haggy and husband Tom; brother John Jordan and wife Barbara; nephews Randy Jordan and wife Mary, Bret Austin and wife Tina, Chet Austin and wife Krista, and Jason Feinberg and wife Debra; niece Shara Jordan; many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 28, 2023, at Walker Funeral Chapel, with burial following at Fairview Cemetery.
