Jack L. Thomas passed away on Feb. 28, 2024.
He was born Oct. 14, 1930, to James and Wilma (Barnes) Thomas.
After his junior year at Claremore, OK, Jack joined the US Air Force. After leaving he obtained his GED and attended one semester at the University of Oklahoma.
Jack married Nora Stanfield, on Nov. 19, 1954. Along with his wife, they farmed east of Tecumseh with a passion for raising cattle.
Jack was a firefighter in Wichita, Kansas. He also was a truck driver hauling cars for Ford factory, then later for TG&Y stores.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Brett Richardson of Coweta, OK; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Andy and Carolyn Thomas of Frisco, TX, Steven Thomas of Shawnee, OK and Joe and Debra Thomas of Newcastle, OK; eight grandchildren, Adam and Dawn Thomas, Emily and Jordan Holliday, Benjamin Thomas, Alexandra Thomas, Lance Thomas, Zackory and Pamela Richardson, Brittany and Jacob Stoddard and Sarah Richardson; six great-grandchildren, and many loving friends and extended family.
Services were held Mar. 4, 2024, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Erick Henson, Highland Church of Christ, Tecumseh, officiating. Burial followed at Little Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
