Jim P. Curtis passed away Mar. 10, 2024.
Jim was born May 26, 1950 in Ada, OK to E.T. Curtis and Jacquelea (Shelton) Curtis. He graduated from Shawnee High School and later earned a Master’s Degree from Southeastern. Jim served in the United States Air Force from ‘72 to ‘77.
On Aug. 5, 1994, he married Von Dell. Jim worked in the oil field much of his early life but later worked for the Pott. County Sheriff’s Dept. and the District Attorney’s Office.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of the home, five children: Cameron Curtis, Lacie Blakemore, Kellie Evans and husband Ronnie, Darren Gaylord, and Paige Giddens, nine grandchildren: Jasper Evans and wife Carrie of TX, Cody Evans and wife JoJo of CT, Tyler Gaylord and wife Cassie of Yukon, Charlsie Giddens of Shawnee, Brandon Giddens and wife Brinklee of Noble, Corrin Blakemore of OKC, Camille Blakemore of OKC, Cael Blakemore of Shawnee, and Haylee Gaylord of Glenpool, 15 great grandchildren and several other family members and friends.
