In February, Bryce Talton of Shawnee was attending a Texas Armwrestling League Super Match as a spectator when life took an unexpected turn.
Talton, who had been taking a year off from arm wrestling in the left-handed super heavyweight division, was asked to compete in the qualifying competition.
