Marian “Junie” Dye was born on April 22, 1928, to Lester Lafayette and Ida Marie Shaw in Konawa, Ok . She died on April 4, 2024.
After graduating from Konawa High School, she attended college at East Central University and Oklahoma University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Education. She married Bob Dye, and they enjoyed life together for 58 years.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Bob; her grandson Caleb Lyon; her nephew, Chad Hall; and her brother-in-law, Quentin Hall.
She is survived by her sister, Pat Hall; her daughters Elizabeth (Bitsy) Morrison and her husband Galen, and Patricia (Trish) Lenora and her husband Larry; her grandchildren Taylor Lyon (Jess), Jordan Mitchell (Steve), Aaron Lyon, Lauren Rogers (Kalen) and Brett Wible along with her great-grandchildren Rose, Oliver, Rory, Carson, Avery, Bryce, and Mason, and many dear friends.
Services were held April 8, 2024 at St Paul’s United Methodist Church, Shawnee. A committal service was held at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, OK.
