Clara May (Aldrich) DeLong, 89, passed away May 11, 2024.
Clara was born on April 21, 1935 in Lookout, OK to James (Jim) and Mildred (Bliss) Aldrich.
She attended high school in Freedom, OK. On November 14, 1952 she married John De-Long. They worked together to establish J.D.’s Service Station and Motel before retiring in 1985.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers: Arthur Aldrich, Billy Aldrich and Robert “Bob” Aldrich, one greatgranddaughter, Ashley Annanders, one greatgrandson, Robert L. Annanders II and another great-grandson.
She is survived by three children: Betty Trammell and her husband, Lonnie of Tecumseh, Wanda Williams of Shawnee, and Johnny DeLong of Tecumseh; five grandchildren: Robert Annanders and his wife, Barbara, of Macomb, Lawanda Clark and her husband Carl Wayne of Eufaula, Jeremy Annanders and his wife, Carloyn, of Shawnee, Treva Lichty and her husband, Daniel, of Tecumseh, and Ellen Hogue and her husband, Michael, of Tecumseh; 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home with family gathering from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Service will be 10:00 am Friday May 17, 2024 at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dennis Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
