Lorene Virginia Gibson Bourbonnais, 95, passed away July 3, 2024 in Shawnee, OK.
Lorene was born to Andy and Mae Gibson on Dec. 4, 1928 in Maud, OK. She graduated from Maud High School. She married Richard Bourbonnais on June 18, 1949.
After working at Tinker Air Force Base for many years, she retired and joyfully helped care for her grandchildren.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Juanita Hopkins, Onita Gibson, Odean Gibson, Linden Gibson, Leon Gibson, Jeanette Greer, and Shirley Kneisel, and daughterin-law, Linda Bourbonnais.
She is survived by her sons, David Bourbonnais of Shawnee, Larry Bourbonnais (Debbie) of Shawnee, grandchildren, David Bourbonnais (Morganne) of Shawnee, Jason Bourbonnais (Zada) of Knoxville, IA, Melissa Thompson (Tyler) of Shawnee, her great-grandchildren, Tucker, Rhett, Eloize, Stella, and Cove, her siblings, Bob Gibson and Jeri McEntire along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside ceremony for Lorene will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, OK.
