Jackie Junior Boatman passed away July 14, 2024.
Jackie was born Feb. 26, 1938 in Wewoka, OK to Zeke and Vita (Hughes) Boatman. He attended Wewoka schools and married Joyce Lynn Oliver on May 16, 1960 in Seminole, OK. Jackie worked as a butcher for many years when he was younger. He later worked and retired from Shawnee Public Schools.
Jackie was preceded in death by; his parents; his wife; his daughter Jacklyn Boatman; his siblings, Frank, Bill, Pete, and Betty.
Survivors include; daughter, Jana Garrison Sisney and husband Trent; daughter, Jayme Boatman; grandchildren, Faith Sisney, Porter Sisney, and Randall Sisney, Daralyn Parham, and Zachary Garrison; brother, Joe Boatman and wife Pat; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9 am to 8 pm Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 pm Friday, July 26, 2024, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Sparks officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
