Ladonna (Donna) Jo Ellis passed away July 20, 2024. Donna was born Aug. 15, 1942 in Wellston, OK to Gus and Irene (Mankin) Hodde. She owned and operated Arts Café’ on Beard Street for many years and worked at Aldridge café and Bean’s Construction.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Ellis Sr., and daughter, Debbie Williams; grandson, David Ellis, Jr; sister, Jean Heath; and brother, Floyd McCoy.
Survivors include her son, Lonnie Whittet and wife Gina of Shawnee, OK; son, JD Ellis and wife Tina Grantham of Checotah, OK; brother, Rob and Debbie Hodde; sister, June Anderson; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 pm, Friday July 26, 2024, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be 2 pm, Saturday July 27, 2024, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Guy Cagle officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
