Martha Adele Webb passed away on Dec. 2, 2024. She was 96 years old. Adele was born on Feb. 16, 1928 in Augusta, GA to George and Ollie (Agerton) Merritt. On June 12, 1943, Adele married Cye B. Webb in North Augusta, SC. Adele was a homemaker raising her children. She later sold Avon for many years and worked to earn her real estate license. She sold real estate with Bob Crothers for over 20 years retiring in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cye B. Webb, son, Leonard Steven Webb, sister, Georgia Ann Allen, parents, George and Ollie Merritt, granddaughter, Melissa Schweizerhof, great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Staats, and great-great-granddaughter, Miriam Varner.
Those left to mourn her passing are her daughters, Linda Wing and husband Doug, Donna Dirickson and husband Bob Sullivan, grandchildren, Trey Dirickson and wife Merrilee, Kelley Winsett and husband Luke, John Schweizerhof, Geri Lynn Staats and husband Kris, and Todd Wing, 16 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral ceremony was held on Dec. 11, 2024 at the Walker Funeral Chapel with Phil Thompson officiating. Following the ceremony, Adele was laid to rest next to her husband at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, OK.
