L. Dennis Mofield passed away Dec. 2, 2024. Dennis was born in McAlester, OK, on Oct. 18, 1948 to Virginia (Finch) Mofield and Lonnie Mofield. Dennis was a proud veteran who served in Korea during the Vietnam War. After retiring from Shell Oil Company, he and Cynthia relocated from Bakerfield, CA to Shawnee in 2005 where he enjoyed retirement for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Cynthia, brothers Glen and Gary Mofield, a daughter Amanda Mofield, an aunt, Janetta Lee (Robert), brothers-in-law Michael Chapman (Susan), Oscar Pena, and sister-in-law Sue Rigole (Louie), many nieces and nephews, Brian Mofield, Kami (Brian) and Hannah Lanting, Scott Fuller, Nichole (George) and Logan Bilanchis, Jacob Chapman, Dustin (Malia) Chapman, Scott Chapman, Maggie Chapman, Jacqulyn (Tony) and Peyton Leach, Brian Davis, Chris (Missy) Davis along with his beloved great-nieces and great-nephews Nicole, Natalie, Andrew, and Mark Chapman along with many other dear family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Lonnie Mofield and Virginia Lawson, a brother David Mofield, grand-father O.T. Finch and grand-mother Anna Ruth Finch, and a sister-in-law Janice Pena.
Services were held Dec. 10, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist Church under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
