Eddie Carr passed away Dec. 3, 2024. He was born Nov. 30, 1954 in Shawnee, OK to J. C. and Leola (Sanders) Carr. He graduated from Earlsboro High School. On July 14, 1995 he married Velma Jean (Rivers) Carr. Eddie worked for many years as a mechanic. He was an entrepreneur and owned and operated a salvage yard, and his catering business.
He is preceded in death by, his parents; his wife, Velma Jean Carr; his brothers, Don Carr, J.C. Carr; and his sister, Frances Jean Hearn.
Those left to cherish his memory; daughter, Tenassa Carr; son, Robert Ervin; and son, Arsenio Carr; grandchildren, Isaac Ervin and Brayden Nelson; sisters, Lois Nubine, and Wanda Johnson; brothers, Charles Carr, and Melvin Carr; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Service will be 1pm, Dec. 12, 2024 at Sharon Baptist Church, with officiating. Burial will follow at Earlsboro Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. Please join the celebration of Eddie’s life through Cooper Funeral Home’s Facebook page for live streaming of the service.
