Lighted snowflakes of different colors have been refurbished by the Pottawatomie County Historical Society and are on display on the western and southern sides of the Paul and Ann Milburn Center in Shawnee. Museum Director Ken Landry said they were given 50 snowflakes from the City of Shawnee last year, and they have all but four restored. Of those, 36 are on display at the museum, and they loaned 10 to SEFF for their Santa float.
The Pottawatomie County Historical Society upgraded their holiday light show in front of the Paul and Ann Milburn Center with 300 more lights on ground pixel stakes and improvements paid for with donations this year, according to their Facebook page. They also restored the "Joy to the World" and "Peace on Earth" decorations from Woodland Veterans Park and added them to the northern side of the museum.
