John Allen Megehee passed away Jan. 19, 2025. John Allen was born in Tribbey, OK on Oct. 8, 1937 to John Elbert Megehee and Bricie Jewell (Abston) Megehee. He graduated from Tribbey High School in 1956. He attended Murray State College of Tishomingo, and Oklahoma University. He worked two years at Griffin Memorial Hospital then went to work for Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies in Oklahoma City. He married Helen Elaine (Henry) on Dec. 22, 1967. They had one son, John Ara Megehee. John Ara married Suzie (Foreman) Megehee and they had two sons: Jackson and Benjamin Megehee.
John Allen is preceded in death by his parent; brother Wayland Megehee and his wife Anita, and their son Keith; brother Herschel Megehee and his son Steven and daughter Kathy.
Service will be 11am Jan. 23, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Bethany, 3800 N. Mueller Ave, Bethany, OK 73008, with Reverend Charles Womack officiating. Burial will follow at 2 pm at Tribbey Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
