Linda Kay Terry passed away on Mar. 1, 2025, after an unexpected battle with lymphoma.
Linda was born on Feb. 21, 1943, to Earl Wayne and Odessa Jean Ellette in Shawnee, OK. She graduated from Okemah High School in 1962.
She married Charles Terry on May 15, 1965. While raising her family, Linda provided in-home childcare for a number of children in Meeker. For a brief time, she worked in the Meeker High School cafeteria and then worked many years in management at Braum’s. Linda later worked at Jefferson Elementary in the school cafeteria as a cook and retired in 2018.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Jean Ellette; brother, Doyle Wayne Ellette; and sister, Kaylin Ellette.
Linda is survived by her husband, Charles Terry of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Angie Terry of Shawnee, OK, and Chuck and Kim Terry of Marietta, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Jerry Guillot of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren and spouses; 20 great-grandchildren; other relatives, and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held Mar. 6, 2025, 11am, at Living Waters Tabernacle, 341197 US-62, Meeker, OK 74855. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Meeker, OK.
