William “Neal” Motley passed away on Feb. 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with lewy body dementia.
Neal was born in Shawnee, OK, on Aug. 16, 1961, to Jerry Paul and Willis Faye (Parker) Motley. He graduated from Tecumseh Public Schools in 1980.
While in high school, Neal met his future wife, Pamela Renae Vickery. They were married on May 21, 1982.
In 1984, Neal began his career as a firefighter EMT for the Shawnee Fire Department, kicking off his career of nearly 29 years for the City of Shawnee. He retired in May of 2012.
Neal was a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and was very proud of his native American heritage.
Neal was predeceased by his parents, Jerry Paul and Willis Faye Motley, and his only granddaughter, Peyton Renae Sturgill.
Neal is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pamela Renae Motley, of the home; daughter, Andrea Rector and husband, Ben, of Harrah, OK; daughter, Amanda Sturgill and husband, Tanner, of Tecumseh, OK; son, Tyler Motley and wife, Amanda, of Bethel Acres, OK; grandsons: Tate, Logan and Scout Rector, Tripp and Tucker Motley, Casen and Dace Sturgill; sister, Paula Motley Jackson of Cromwell, OK; other family members, and a host of friends.
Services were held Mar. 1, 2025, at the Tecumseh Alumni Building, 901 N. 13th St., Tecumseh, OK.
