Joseph “Jody” Darren Stafford passed away from a brief illness on Mar. 10, 2025. Jody was born May 20, 1963 in Phoenix, AZ to Ira “Clay” Stafford and Marjorie Darling (Brown) Stafford. He married Rhonda Sue Stafford on Jan. 3, 1981. Together, they started A-1 Fence Company and ran the company for the past 32 years. Jody truly loved his work and his favorite motto was “keep on fencin.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Marjorie Stafford and his sister, Karla Sue Stafford.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife; his three children, Malania Hammer, Jessica and husband Steven Yones, and Shane Stafford; nine grandchildren, Michael and fiancé Raven, Connor, Garrett, Devin, Samantha, and Parker Hammer, Landon and Sheldon Yones, and Colt Stafford; one great-grandchild, Luke Hammer; and his brother and his wife, Scott and Lisa Stafford.
Services were held Mar. 14, 2025 at Walker Funeral Chapel. Following the ceremony, Jody was laid to rest at Tecumseh Cemetery.
