Richard Eugene “Dick” Blochowiak passed away April 9, 2025. He was born April 17, 1946 in Shawnee, OK to C. J. 'Cassy“ and Mary (Klish) Blochowiak. He attended St. Benedict High School, graduating in 1964. After high school, he earned credits from the Community College of the Air Force. Dick married Nancy A. Nelson on Aug. 30, 1968 in Shawnee. He served 33 years in the United States Air Force Reserves in Air Transportation and Logistics, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant. He was activated during Desert Storm and served a 38 year career as a civilian at Tinker Air Force Base, working primarily in logistics.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his oldest brother Bill, and youngest brother Ed.
Those left to cherish his memory are; wife Nancy A. Blochowiak, of the home; son, Richard Blochowiak and wife Celeste of Edmond; son Jeffrey Blochowiak and wife Marcey of McLoud; daughter, Lesley Knowles and husband Rodney of Mustang; one granddaughter, Hannah Blochowiak of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Mary Ann Blochowiak of Edmond; brother, Charles Blochowiak of Ponca City; other relatives and friends.
Memorial Mass will be 2pm April 22, 2025 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Christopher Brashears officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
