Michael Ray “Big Dog” Harris, age 56, passed away April 27, 2025.
Mike was born Oct. 27, 1968 in Midwest City, OK to Franklin and Donna (Morris) Harris.
Mike graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1987. After high school Mike enlisted in the Navy as a corpsman field medic, serving stateside. He then went to work at Midwest City Hospital as a surgical tech, and continued his career at AAR Corporation, refueling at Will Rogers World Airport.
On Feb. 2, 2002 Mike and Frani McMahan were married in Eureka Springs, AR. In 2005 Mike and Frani moved to Seminole, where he worked at land management and raised cattle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Frani Harris of the home; daughter, Courtney and Zac McBride of Newcastle, OK; mother, Donna Morris of Shawnee, OK; brothers, Doni Harris of Grand Island, NE, Mickel Dean Manwell of Jones, OK; sisters, Halley Morris of Oklahoma City, OK, Sherry Heveron of Harrah, OK, Frankie Bryant of Oklahoma City, OK, Kristie Harris of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Maybelle McBride and Sawyer McBride, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Service will be 2 pm, May 3, 2025 at Sharon Baptist Church Tecumseh, Ok with Reverend Clint Dawkins, officiating.
