Steven Don Ward passed away May 25, 2025. Steven was born on Jan. 11, 1980 in Shawnee, OK to Patricia L. (Wood) Ward and Marc Ward. Steven went to North Rock Creek Elementary School and Meeker High School.
He was a proud member of the Sac and Fox Nation of OK. Steven worked at Billy Boy Barbecue and the Black Hawk Casino. The most important and rewarding job he took in his life was being a caregiver.
Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ward; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Margaret Ward; maternal grandparents, Lorena (Mack) and Freeland Wood, Sr.; Uncles, Rudy, Woody, Eddie, Jim, Edgar, Bob, and H.D.; Aunts, Betty, Billie Jo, and Wanda.
He is survived by his fiancée, Nicole Reed; father and step-mother, Marc and Kathy Ward; brother, Brock Ward; nieces, Taryn and Makenna; uncles, Terry Ward and Larry Hernandez; aunts, Katie Wood and Aida Grant; and many cousins, extended family, and friends.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Ceremony for Steven on May 31, 2025, at 2 pm, at Sallateeska Baptist Church (45703 Garrett’s Lake Road).
