The Dunbar Heights Community celebrated their first Veterans Day Ceremony Nov. 11, 2025. The four Veterans honored in attendance were Lt. Colonel James Keel, Timmy Young, Kyle Winrow and Frank Kelly. Young led the celebration; Kelly was the guest speaker; Winrow and Keel spoke to the crowd, as well. A volunteer came from Texas to paint it, said emcee Marine veteran and VFW Post 1317 Commander Patrick Koch. Natasha Dunagan, Countywide & Sun- Frank Kelly was the guest speaker of the Dunbar Heights Veteran Celebration. Kelly is a Navy Veteran who suffered a broken neck while serving in 1988, resulting in partial paralysis. Beyond becoming an ordained deacon, long-distance cyclist and international mission worker after a challenging recovery, he is a founder of the Engage Free Clinics which helps uninsured veterans across Oklahoma receive medical services. - LT Kyle Winrow, now with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, shared his story of gorwing up in a military family and his time in the army. Both of Winrow's parents served as well as many other family members. Julie Talton, Countywide & Sun
