Tavion Hardeman, an eighth-grader at Jim Thorpe Academy, hands an egg carton to Casey White and other members of the Shawnee Board of Education during their meeting on Dec. 15. JTA Principal Hannah Holland reported on their Outdoor Classroom, which includes a chicken coop, tool shed, greenhouse and tiny house, all built by students and teachers. Holland invited the board members to bring their egg cartons to JTA for eggs in the future.
