Alma “Sue” Mitchell passed away on June 24, 2023.
Sue was born Aug. 25, 1938, in Savanna, OK, to Rev. Nolan and Velma Marie (Williamson) Mott. Sue married Orlando E. Mitchell on January 23, 1957, in Trona, CA. She started working in the school cafeteria, and later worked for several years as a secretary for Bethel Public Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters: Betty Lawrence, Robbie Atkinson, Sarah Atkinson, and Nina Fay Mott; and three great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters and two sons-in-law, Janet and Bruce Hopper of Bethel Acres and Lisa and Troy Thompson of Tecumseh; one son and daughterin- law, Keith and Darline Mitchell of Bethel Acres; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers: James Mott and Jerry Mott, both of TX; numerous nieces, nephews; and other loving extended family and friends.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Downtown Pentecostal Holiness Church in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
