Alta Harmon passed away on Mar. 5, 2025. Alta was born on Dec. 3, 1937, to Cecil and Leta Brock in Tecumseh, OK. She graduated from Macomb School. In 1957, Alta married Sid Harmon. Along with being a wife and mother, Alta worked different jobs over the years, culminating in her being named branch manager of the First State Bank’s Bethel Acres branch.
Alta was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Sid Harmon, both parents, sister, Linda Brock-Cowan, and brother, John Brock.
Alta is survived by her daughter, Jan Afentul and husband, George, her son, Tony Harmon and wife, Patty, grandchildren, Justin Hartman and wife, Kate, Barrett Hartman and wife, Lindsey, Great-grandchildren Reece and Cameron Hartman, Preston Hartman and wife, Marina, Krista Hartman, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and sister-in-law Shirley Parkins and husband, Donnie.
