Barbara Ann Goodnight passed away Jan. 21, 2025. Barbara was born in Shawnee, OK on Aug. 17, 1941, to Cecil and Mary Truby. She graduated from Shawnee High School and married William (Bill) Arthur Goodnight on August 18, 1959.
Ma worked at River Rest Turkey Farm for 10 years. Later, she worked many years at Hardesty Grocery in Shawnee. At the age of 50, Ma went to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse where she cared for many people for 20 years in home health.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Donna Brown.
She is survived by her daughter, Bilynda Luschen and husband Dan; son, Bill Goodnight and wife Angela; and son, Bryan Goodnight and wife Peggy; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services were held on Jan. 25, 2025, at Open Door Church of God in Shawnee with David Shaw officiating. Following the ceremony, Ma was laid to rest next to her husband at Hopewell Cemetery.
