Beverly Suzanne Essary passed away July 18, 2024. Beverly was born to Clark and Pearl Ketling November 18, 1937, in Beaumont, CA. After graduating from high school, she married James D. Essary, Sr., in Indio, CA.
Beverly started her professional career at the University of Oklahoma in 1978 as a secretary in the Training and Development Department. In her 21 years at OU, she earned her Associates degree in: Liberal Arts and worked her way up to Assistant Training Manager.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband; daughters Suzanne Essary and Shar Aweho, and her granddaughter Ashley Zimmerman.
Beverly is survived by two children, Carolynne Essary Forbes and Don Essary, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9 am to 8 pm, Friday July 26, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins of Sharon Baptist Church, Tecumseh, OK, Reverend Jeff Robinett of Life Springs Church, Norman, OK, and Reverend Chad Brodrick officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
