Billy Rex Estep passed away November 13, 2023. Bill was born on February 10, 1937 in Fittstown, OK to Johnie William Estep and Izetta C. (Butler) Estep. Bill grew up in the Prague and Shawnee areas. After high school graduation, Bill joined the United States Air Force. Bill served his country for 12 years before being honorably discharged. He went to work for Tinker AFB as a sheet metal worker and retired after 11 years. Following his retirement, Bill worked for John Deere and The Ford Company. Bill married Clella Estep on January 3, 2014 in Shawnee.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bruce Estep; two sisters, Betty Estep and Elaine Maynard; and grandson, Carder Tate Brown. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Clella Estep of Jones, OK; daughters, Christie Eads and husband Eldon of Pampa, TX and Melodie Flemming and husband Art; sons, Terry Estep and wife Karen of Fayetteville, NC and Tony Estep and wife Carrie of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Gail Whitley and husband David of Borger, TX; sisters, Jan Hankins of Shawnee, OK, Leta Abel of Shawnee, OK, and Lela Rutledge-Clark of Shawnee; 11 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Services were held on November 17, 2023 at the Walker Funeral Chapel in Shawnee. Following the ceremony, Bill was laid to rest with military honors at Little Cemetery.
