Bobby Herschell Churchwell, passed away on January 29, 2024. Bobby was born March 23, 1961 in Oklahoma City, OK to Bobby and Gaylene (Whitley) Churchwell. Bobby graduated from Douglass High School with the class of 1979. Bobby married Ranay Chrz on September 17, 1988 in Oklahoma City, OK.
In 1990 he started his almost 34 year career at Hobby Lobby where he was currently working as a senior driver. He loved the 28 years he volunteered at the International Finals Youth Rodeo in Shawnee, OK.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Ranay Churchwell of the home; sons, Bobby Joe “Bo” and Ashley Churchwell of Dale, OK and James Jeffery Bruce “JJ” and Shelby Churchwell of Dale, OK; sister, Marcia and Rex Dockray of Mustang, OK; five grandchildren: Breonna, Allie, Billy, Maverick and Aaron; and many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024 with family gathering from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to greet friends and family at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Sharon Baptist Church, Tecumseh, OK with Reverend David Scott Peters officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
