Cruzita (Romero) Hernandez passed away on October 30, 2023.
Cruzita was born on January 9, 1945 in Roswell, NM to Joseph T. Romero and Magdalena Mary Ellen (Guevara) Romero.
Cruzita married Max Hernandez on April 11, 1963 in Wilmington, CA. She worked for several years as a home health care provider.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her brothers, Joseph, Ross, Arturo, and Orlando “Dean”; a sister-in-law, Linda Grajeda; and by two great grandchildren, Emilia Broadhead and Edward Hernandez.
Cruzia is survived by her husband, Max Hernandez of Shawnee; a daughter, Valarie Hernandez Broadhead and husband Brad of Trabuco Canyon, CA; two sons, Michael Hernandez of Shawnee and Edward Hernandez of San Pedro, CA; a sister, Mary Ohrioki of Torrance, CA; two brothers, Waldo Romero and wife Becky of Redondo Beach, CA and Anthony Grajeda of Carson, CA; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; as well as other extended family and many good friends.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held in California at a later date. Services are under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee, OK.
