David Bruce Thomas passed away March 20, 2023.
He was born July 5, 1962 in Borger, TX to Millard “Bud” Jr. and Ruth Thomas.
David graduated from Shawnee High School in 1981. He received a full ride scholarship to play football at Panhandle State and then transferred to Southeastern State to continue playing football. He worked as a farm hand and was a jack of all trades. He was a great athlete, trained horses, owned his own upholstery shop in Broken Springs and had a lot of friends.
Preceded in death by his father.
David is survived by his mother, sisters and spouses: Marsha and Chuck Hughes, Maria and Larry Cox, brother: Robert “Cowchip” Thomas , daughters: Taylor Thomas and Bailey Carver, granddaughters: Riley and Tatum Batchelor, Conlee Bryant and Chancy Young and a host of nieces, great-nieces, and great-great nieces with nephews and great-nephews.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2023 at Walker Funeral Chapel with Dan Megehee officiating.
