Donald “Don” Wayne Van Horn passed away Dec. 28, 2024. Don was born May 4,1949 in Oklahoma City, OK to Norman Glenn and Myrtle Belle (Loveland) Van Horn. Don graduated from Shawnee High School in 1967. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968 where he served until 1983. In 1983 he went to work for Don Coleys Video World where he was a satellite TV installer, & Salesman. He spent several years working at selling cars. Later he worked at Home Depot and then onto Firelake Golf course.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter.
Survivors include his wife, Starla Sue Van Horn of Luther, OK; son, Donald Craig and wife, Shelle Adele Van Horn of Wewoka, OK; grandson, Cooper Glen Van Horn of Shawnee, OK; stepdaughter, Tommie Racheal Stevenson of Tecumseh, OK.
Services were held Jan. 7, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy Azlin of New Life Church, Wewoka, OK officiating.
