Dr. Jack Carl Luman passed away April 25, 2023.
Jack was born November 14, 1934 in Lawton, OK to Carl and Gladys Luman. He graduated from Classen High School in OKC as a mid-termer class of 52’-53’. He then attended the University of Oklahoma and then went to Westminster College in Fulton, MO. He graduated from the Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1959. He then joined the Air Force in Rantoul, IL where he became captain of the hospital Dental Corp.
Jack and MaryAnn moved to Shawnee in 1963 where he began his dental practice with Dr. Joe Taron. He practiced 54 years in Shawnee and saw his last patient at the age of 80.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: MaryAnn Luman, sister: Kara Lee Merrell, children: Jeff Luman and Karla, Jenee Epps and Troy, and Julie Lucas, grandchildren: Chasity Bruhn and Trevet, Blake Luman and Jackie, Max Epps and Kaylee, Kailey Velazquez and Ernesto, Madison Ebke and Brian, Alexis Lucas, Laynie Lucas, and Mollie Epps, greatgrandchildren: Lance Luman, Jarrett Bruhn, JackVelazquez, Diesel Velazquez, Reyna Velazquez, Lennox Epps, and Ella Ebke.
Services were held May 1, 2023 at First Christian Church in Shawnee. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.
