Eddie Keith Brokeshoulder passed away October 1, 2023.
He was born April 15, 1951 in Shawnee, OK to Clifton and Minnie (Chisholm) Brokeshoulder.
Eddie was raised in Ardmore where he attended Carter Seminary Boarding School, and graduated with the class of 1970 from Ardmore High School. After graduation he attended the University of Oklahoma.
He worked for the several different Oklahoma Tribes doing various administrative duties. After retirement he went to work for Project Heart delivering meals and working part time at Williams Transmission in Shawnee.
Eddie was a proud member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Minnie Brokeshoulder; brothers, Harrell Brokeshoulder and Harry Brokeshoulder; and sister, Helen Arns.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Brokeshoulder of Norman, OK; five sisters, Loretta Schwarz of West Linn, OR, Wynona Lumpmouth, Glendale, AZ, Glenda Brokeshoulder of Woodbridge, VA, Katrina Brokeshoulder of Albuquerque NM and Rita Brokeshoulder of Shawnee, OK; one brother, Cliff Nicholas Brokeshoulder, Jr. of Surprise, AZ; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home and continue through service time. Service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lance Bowman, The Sanctuary of Shawnee officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
