Edith “Carolyn” Miles passed away on June 10, 2023. Carolyn was born on December 16, 1946 in Shawnee OK, graduated from Shawnee High School in 1965, and Oklahoma Baptist University in 1969. She was a long-time Shawnee public school educator. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Dennis Miles, her mother, Edna Arlene Miles, and her niece, Carly Beesley Danker.
She is survived by her sister: Dr. Denise Beesley and brother-in-law, Stanley Beesley; her niece: Mariah Munn and husband, Chad Munn; her great-niece: Kadence Munn, and her greatnephews: Dillon Danker, Maddox Munn, and Tristen Munn.
Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM at Walker Funeral Home on Saturday, June 17, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
