Gerald “Jerry” Morgan Jenkins passed away on March 23, 2024.
He was born August 31, 1935 in Hulbert, OK to Daniel and Emma (Baker) Jenkins. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for three years spending 13 months in Korea.
He married Doyce Ann Pressley on November 22, 1956 in Reno, NV. He worked at O.G. & E. and later had a contracting business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Emma Jenkins; sister, Betty Wilson; and brother, Leslie Monroe.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Doyce Jenkins of the home; son, David and Sabrina Jenkins of Horton, KS; daughter, Shelley and Walter Jones of Great Falls, MT; grandchildren, Chandra Hauge, Candice Jones, Derek Jenkins, Raven Jenkins, Brayden Clagg and Blake and Addi Jenkins; nine great-great grandchildren; brother, George Jenkins; sister, Darlene Rains; and other extended family and friends.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Jones, Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Tecumseh, OK officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
