James D. Rowell passed away July 2, 2023.
James was born June 16, 1939, in Henderson, TX to the late Mannie D. and Bessie Rowell. James enlisted in the United States Army, where he served three years.
He married Joan McCaffiety on Feb. 3, 1963. James worked at Eastman Kodak for 35 years, retiring as a supervisor. In addition, he was a roofer and a mechanic, repairing hundreds of vehicles, many with little or no charge.
James was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; sisters, Fern Love and Mary Nell Downs; brothers, Leldon Rowell and Wayne Rowell.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Dione and Liz Wall of OK, and sons, Darren Rowell of OK and Eric Rowell of TX; sister, Imogene Maurer of League City; sister-inlaw, Ann Bradshaw of Henderson; Tommy and Sandra Goode of Henderson; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh, OK.
