Janice Ellen (Woods) Goode passed away Jan. 27, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Janice was born in Shawnee, OK on Dec. 30, 1947, to Charles Melvin and Nona Catherine Woods. Janice graduated from Shawnee High School in 1966 and attended Oklahoma State University from 1966 to 1968. Janice married her first husband Richard Daniels in 1968. Janice and Richard have three children Doug, Nathan, and Collin. Janice was employed as a long-distance operator by Southwestern Bell; as a New Accounts Specialist by Merrill Lynch; and as Money Market Cashier by Morgan-Keegan Brokerage. Janice did volunteer work for the hearing impaired at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Suicide and Crisis Intervention Center in Memphis, TN.
In 1995, Janice married William (Bill) Goode, a Shawnee High School classmate of 1966.
Janice was preceded in death by her older sister, Cherita Sue Woods and her parents.
She is survived by her husband; sisters, Needa K. White of Rollins, MT and Ramona L. Cargill of Ft. Worth, TX; son, Douglas A. Daniels, wife Amy, and granddaughter, Cate of Memphis, TN; son, Nathan R. Daniels of Minneapolis, MN; son, Collin S Daniels, wife Dani, granddaughter, Madison, and grandsons, Cameron, Logan, Carter, and MacGuire Daniels of Mayer, MN.
Services were held on Feb 1, 2025 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
