Joan Raye Aldrich passed away Dec. 6, 2023.
Joan was born Sept. 24, 1952 in Enid, OK to Darl Dowell and Mirth Gilbert Dowell. She graduated from high school in Lamont, OK and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University. She married Stan Aldrich and spent time as a homemaker but also did clerical work for various attorneys and Conoco Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-father: Dale Beall.
Survivors include a daughter: Ashley Aldrich of Porter, OK; son Ryan Aldrich and wife Rebekah of Shawnee; five grandchildren, Luke Aldrich, Abby Gourd, Hank Aldrich, J.J. Gourd, and Tuck Aldrich; sister Darla Tharp of Tonkawa; two brothers: Jay Dowell of Ponca City, and Pat Dowell of Lamont; ex-husband Stan Aldrich and wife Wendy (who helped care for her) and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
