Krystal Mae Smith passed away on Feb. 6, 2025. Krystal was born on Oct. 14, 1972 in Shawnee, OK to her parents, Robert and Myra Newton.
One of her great achievements in life was nurturing the growth of her second and third grade students at McLoud Elementary. This past August, she returned to her beloved profession to teach second grade at Barnard School in Tecumseh.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Smith; children, Walker of Weatherford, OK, Addison of Moore, OK and Embrie Smith of the home. She is also survived by her mother, Myra Newton Espinoza of Hot Springs, AR, her brother, Kevin Newton and wife Alexis, niece, Vallory, nephew, Zander all of Hot Springs, AR and numerous other beloved family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Newton.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
