Larry “Shorty” Kinnamon passed away on Oct. 6, 2024. He was born to W.R. and Lucille (Beasley) Kinnamon on July 12, 1942. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1960. Shorty was a member of the Cherokee Nation who served his country in the National Guard. He retired from Thomas Concrete in OKC in 1990.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both siblings: Buddy Kinnamon and Norma Ruth See, and two daughters: Sherri Kaye and Alicia Dawn.
Left to cherish his memory are the love of his life of 40 years, Ruth Franklin of the home; four children: Larry Kinnamon Jr., Jennifer (Gene), Michelle, and Angela and three stepsons: Chuck (Steve), Rory, and Kirk (Melissa) West, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
His cremains will be buried at Bethel Cemetery. A memorial service is being planned and details will be announced at a later date.
