Nora Lee Doss passed away on Nov. 26, 2024. Nora was born in Shawnee, OK on Jan. 16, 1933 to Toby Ellis Sing Sr. and Martha O. (Carpenter) Sing. She married Donal Lee Doss on Sept. 30, 1950. They were together for 59 years until his passing in 2013. Nora graduated from Macomb High School in 1950, where she was on the 1950 state championship girls’ basketball team. She attended business school in Shawnee and worked at the Sylvania plant. She commuted to work at Tinker for 25+ years.
She is survived by three sons and daughters- in-law, Terry and Karey Doss of Broken Arrow; Richard and Bobbie Doss of Shawnee, and Kenneth and Denise Doss of Arizona; three granddaughters, Kendra Garrison, Alena (Freddie) Chambers, and Julie Doss; two grandsons, Jeremy Doss (Heather) and Jason Doss (Angie); 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy Sing; and many nieces, nephews, and other family, friends, and neighbors.
She was predeceased by her husband, Don; her parents; one sister, Betty; six brothers: Raymond, James, Toby Jr. , Paul , Jack, and Jim.
Services were held at an earlier date.
