Roy Dean Wood passed on March 22, 2023. Roy was born in Winfield, Kansas on February 22, 1945 to Roy L. Wood and Emma H. Wood. He courageously served in the Army for 12 years then did two tours in Vietnam and served two more years in the Navy. On July 22, 1977 Roy Married the love of his life, Hyla.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, John, Larry, Brian, and Kim Wood.
He is survived by his wife, Hyla Wood, sons, Roy, Mike, and James Wood, daughters, Kathy and Jackie Wood, grandchildren, Chase, Tierney, Haley, Austin, Jarron, Kelsie, Mikey, and Hopelynn, great-grandchildren, Roman, Maeze, and Sadie as well as numerous members of extended family and friends.
Services were held March 27, 2023 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee. Military honors were provided by the United States Army.
