Thelma Winrow Jackson passed away January 24, 2024. She was born in Holtulka, OK on October 17, 1927 to Willie Rivers and Lillian Thompson Rivers.. She graduated from Dunbar High, Shawnee, OK. She united in marriage with Thurman Winrow (deceased). To this union nine children were born, love never ended during this time. She was blessed to find love again uniting in marriage to Alvin Jackson (deceased). To this union one son was born, blessed also with seven bonus children.
She worked at the US Postal service in Los Angeles, CA, returning to Oklahoma, working other jobs. She retired from Tinker AFB, at the same time with her late husband Alvin Jackson.
She was preceded in death by four sisters: Grace Woodfork, Berniece Paysinger, Anese Woodfork, Vera Beale; six brothers: Robert Rivers, Ruben Rivers, Melvin B Rivers, Dewey Rivers, Linzy Rivers, and Willie Rivers; three sons: Thurman Loy Winrow, Danny Ray Winrow, and Dr. Ervin C. Jackson, and bonus children: James Curtis, Vivian, Brenda, Hattie, and Gladys (Gina).
Cherishing her memory one sister, Mae Lee Hill, Stockton CA; sisters-in-law: Norma Rivers Midwest City, OK, Shirley Rivers, and Lorene Ryan; three sons: Robert E. Winrow, Denver, CO, Kenneth A. Winrow, Shawnee, and Dr. Dewayne (Margaret) Winrow, Granada Hills, CA; daughters: Glenda (Ernest) Franklin, Springer, OK, Reujena Winrow, Shawnee, OK, Diane Morris, Ada, OK, Sharron Knighton, Wewoka, OK, Vera Myers OKC, Melvin Jackson OKC, Maurice Jackson OKC, host of grand and great, great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
