William Russell Lupton passed away Feb. 27, 2024. Russell was born to parents Sam and Merroll Lupton on Aug. 17, 1966, in Shawnee, OK. He graduated from Liberty Academy. Russell attended Saint Gregory’s University in Shawnee for a short time before joining the Army, where he earned his Infantry Blue Cord in Fort Benning, GA.
After his time in the service, he returned to Shawnee and worked at the family business, Lupton Painting. Russell had four children Trey, Josh, Ashlyn, and Hallie. In 2016, Russell married Ashley Kelley Lupton.
Russell is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Kelley Lupton and his stepson Nikolas Williams of the home; his four adult children, Trey Lupton, Josh Lupton, Ashlyn Lupton, and Hallie Lupton Moesta; parents; sisters, Rhonda Lupton, and Melissa Roberts and husband Chad Roberts; nieces and nephews.
Services were held Mar. 6, 2024, at 2 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home with committal service to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park of the same location.
